Like alot of other wedding industry vendors, I have a Twitter account; and I probably spend more time on it than I should. As is the nature of Twitter, the majority of tweets are unimportant or self-promotions, but there are many that introduce you to things of interest, validate your feelings, and some just make you smile. I have my favorites, and when someone tweets something that particularly resonates with me, I save it by taking a screenshot of it with my iPhone. Over time, I have compiled quite a collection, and thought it might be fun to share some of them with you.
Here's the one that started my collection.

I saved this because I've grown so tired of photographers and videographers aspiring to be "rockstars" in the wedding industry. Our job is not to "rock" our client's wedding - the "star" of the day is the bride and groom. Not the photographer. Not the videographer. It just sounds so self-absorbed, so when I saw this tweet from the amazing Jeremy Cowart (one of the few who truly could claim to be a rockstar!), my first impulse was to save it. And it always makes me smile when I find it in my iPhone's camera roll folder.
Jeremy has alot of company in that folder now; he was the first of many tweets I saved when someone tweeted something that particularly hit home for me. My plan is to start sharing these with you and make it a recurring series on the blog. Who knows? You may have tweeted something that is in my collection! :)
If you'd like to follow me on Twitter, you can find me as "mcnealwedfilms". I'll see you there!
